Learn To Make This Beautiful Gingerbread House!

Learn how to make this beautiful gingerbread house decorated with royal icing in the latest tutorial in my Cookie Art Club!

This gingerbread house was inspired by the beautiful colors of oxidized copper. I used a combination of rose gold, red, and bronze luster dusts to create this color.

As I mentioned above, I used a combination of a few different luster dusts to make this copper finish. You can use copper luster dust straight out of the bottle, but I didn’t order mine in time for this project.

Sweet Sticks brand makes a beautiful copper luster dust. Here’s an example of a leaf cookie I made using their copper luster dust.

The embossed filigree design is a technique that I first used for a design in my book, Cookie Canvas. It’s done by piping a filigree pattern with royal icing, letting it dry, and then covering the filigree with a thin layer of royal icing.
